The Team of Competence Center supporting the Customs Department of the Ministry of Finance with regard to maintenance, administration and development of "VAT refund for Travelers" system informs, that due to maintenance works of "VAT refund for Travelers" system there might be delays in receiving by retailers reports on confirmed TAX FREE documents from 03.02.2019 from 8:00 pm to 04.02.2019 till 03:00 am as well as customs clearance at the border may take longer.

The National Revenue Administration informs that as of 1 August 2017 the amount of the minimum total value of purchases for which a traveller may claim refund of the value added tax will be decreased from PLN 300 to PLN 200 - (legal basis: Regulation of the Minister of Finance of 23 June 2017 concerning the minimum total value of purchases for which a traveller may claim refund of the value added tax – Journal of Laws of 2017 item 1248).
